Book launching ceremony by Council of Islamic Ideology

Book Title: علم تشريح الابدان برائے طلبا تخصص فقہ اسلامی والافتا

The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Govt. of Pakistan formally launched the book on the subject of body systems, for religious Madaris, titled "علم تشريح الابدان برائے طلبا تخصص فقہ اسلامی والافتا" It is written by the Dean Peshawar Medical College, Professor Dr Najib Ul Haq and is aimed at explaining the body system to students of Madaris who want to specialize in Fiqh and Afta.

The well attended ceremony was held on 18th September 2018. The Chairman CII welcomed the participants. He said that the book is very useful and amicably resolves the controversies of science and religion in the related areas. Quoting as an example he said that in the recent past there has been a controversy on use of DNA as scientific evidence in the prevailing Law and the Islamic perspective. He added that the scientific facts explained in the book clearly supports the view of CII on the issue and resolves the issue harmoniously. He suggested that the book should not only be taught at the concerned academic level in Madaris but also recommended that it for scholars of Universities, doing their post graduation in the related subjects.

Mufti Ghulam Ur Rehman Sahib Chief of Jamia Usmania Peshawar commented that the book has fulfilled a great need of Madaris and hoped that it will motivate others to write further on such subject. He also emphasized the need for better coordination between prevailing education system in school and University with that of Madaris. This would result in a better and peaceful society in line with the concepts of Islam.

The chief guest Maulana Dr. Noorul Haq Qadri Federal Minister of religious affairs welcomed and appreciated the book and said that it was an important requirement of students of Fiqh, which has been met with, successfully. He said this would be a significant step forward in creating opportunities for closer coordination between Madaris and contemporary education system. He emphasized the need for a stronger relationship and initiation of dialogue between these two systems of education and hoped that such efforts would create better harmony, tolerance and peace in the society.

Speaking on the occasion, the author the book attributed the completion of book to the Fazl of Allah and the strong motivation form Mufti Ghulam Ur Raman sahib. He thanked his colleagues in helping him to complete this task and asked all readers for suggestions in improving the next edition.

It may be added here that the book is well received by all sects of religion. Almost all of them have decided to include this book in the course of senior students of Madaris. The book also has a CD with related videos, power point lecture on various topics of the book for use of teachers and a collection of books on Islamic Fiqh.

Dr Najeeb’s book need of each Dar-ul-Itfa (Fatwa Council) : Qadri September 18, 2018

ISLAMABAD, Sep 18 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri Tuesday said the book titled ‘Ilm-e-Tashreeh-AL-Abdan’ was the need of every Dar-ul-Ifta (Fatwa Council) as it helps resolving current Fiqah issues.

Speaking on the launching ceremony of the aforementioned book written by famous Dr Najeeb-ul-Haq, he said the book provided vital information to the specialization students of seminaries. The book also highlighted Fiqah issues related to medical field.

He said the book should be placed at every Dar-ul-Ifta as it provided vital information to Muftis, which would definitely prove helpful in issuing Fatwas on important issues.

Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said the book had been written on very important topic. Dr Najeeb had done a fine job by writing on the much needed topic, he added.

Lauding the services of CII, the minister said CII was a representative institution of all segments of society. CII should be provided the authority of Central Fatwa Council to avoid antinomies in Fatwa issuance.

The minister assured his cooperation in implementing the recommendations forwarded by the CII to the government for perusal and implementation.

Commenting on the book, head of Jamia Usmania, Peshawar, Mufti Ghulam Rehman said the book was very useful for the teachers and specialisation students of seminaries.The book has been authored after seeking feedback from teachers and Ulema.

Chairman CII , Dr Qibla Ayaz said the book has endorsed the research of CII on DNA . This book should be included in curricula.

The ceremony was attended by teachers, PhD researchers of universities, students and teachers of religious seminaries.
