Bio

Graduated from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar University in April 1978. Joined Pakistan Army in July 1978 in substantive rank as Captain in the Medical Corps. Joined Ayub Medical College pioneer group in March 1981 and served as lecturer in physiology till June 84.

Joined Provincial Health Services on 14th June 1984 and retired on 20th June 2014. During this period, served in MOH Iran from 1986 to 1992. Served in Ayub Hospital Complex from day one in June 1995, Equipped and established Ophthalmology Unit and worked as Registrar till April 2003. Went to Saudi Arabia and served for two years till 2005. On return, served as Deputy EDO Health Abbottabad, supervising 109 health facilities in district Abbottabad.

Served as Medical Superintendent, Kuwait Teaching Hospital from 2007 to 2009. Joined Peshawar Medical College in 2010 as Senior Lecturer and did M. Phil In Microbiology (Virology). Appointed as Assistant Professor in June 2014 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2020. Additional appointments are: Staff coordinator for Journal Club, from 1.1.2013 till date and Staff Coordinator for Post Graduate (M.Phil. and PhD) programs, 2018 Till date.
